Leadership Development Program (2-day program)
Beyond the technical ability, rich expertise and experience to do the job as a Manager, Supervisor and Executives, how well are you equipped with the know-how and tools of people management skills to lead, manage, motivate and supervise your people or a team especially in the rapidly changing landscape of industry 4.0 transformation?
Through this program, participants will gain a better self-awareness of one’s personality and others in your team through DISC profiling, so as to better manage and leverage on the complementary strengths of their people. Participants will also manage and motivate people through situational leadership, motivation styles, and management by objective and effective delegation.
They will also acquire key communication and interpersonal skills and resolve misunderstanding and conflicts at work. Participants will also apply key change management, problem solving and decision-making techniques to better manage and solve changes and challenging work situations with their team as the organisation moves into Industry 4.0 transformation.
At the end of the program, participants will
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of an effective supervisor, manager and a leader
- Understand Self and Others and leverage on complementary strengths through DISC profiling
- Apply situational leadership and various motivation styles for different types of employees
- Manage people and performance effectively through “Management by Objective” and develop people through delegation and empowerment
- Acquire effective communication skills and enhance interpersonal working relationship as a People Leader and People Manager
- Lead, manage and support change and challenges by having “adversity quotient’- resilience in times of changes and communicate, inspire and motivate people about the benefits of change
- Acquire creative and participative problem solving and decision-making techniques with the team

Success factors of an Effective Leader and Manager
- Identify and align your values and principles towards your leadership and managerial style
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a leader and manager in the industry 4.0 transformation
- Distinguish the differences between a leader and manager
- List and overcome the challenges face as a leader and manager in the industry 4.0 transformation
- Apply “Management by walking” and being a role model, be in touch with the ground and enhance employee motivation and engagement
Manage Different Behaviourial Personalities at Work
- Discover individual ‘s personality and personalities of employees that you manage
- Understand your supervisor and your stakeholders’ behaviorial personalities at work
- Leverage on the strengths and identify developing areas
- Understand and overcome the differences, misunderstanding and conflicts at work
- Enhance working relationship and communication in the team that you manage

Effective Leadership and Motivation
- Apply the three types of leadership at appropriate situations

Effective Leadership and Perfomance Management
- Manage performance and develop potential through performance management, Management by Objective (MBO) and goal setting

Communication Skills and Interpersonal Relations
- Using “Communication style inventory”, identify your preferred communication style
- Identify the essential skills required for effective communication
- State and overcome the barriers to effective communication and during workplace misunderstanding and conflicts
- Craft clear and concise message to the recipient
- Demonstrate positive body language during communication and interpersonal relationship
- Harness the use of active listening and empathetic listening to foster trust in working relationship
- Apply effective questioning techniques for a fruitful interpersonal communication
Change Management
- Discover the reasons for change and overcome the obstacles to change in your team
- Understand the types of emotions in the change curve and apply the various change interventions to facilitate and support the change
- Apply key change management skills to support and smoothen the change and transition from the past, present to the future
- Acquire “adversity quotient” through change ready, mental resilience, reframing using appreciative inquiry
- Inculcate a growth mindset through on change and challenges
- Acquire skills to plan for change, communicate, inspire and motivate people and get their buy-in on the purpose and benefits of the change
Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Define what is a ‘problem’ and reframe it as an opportunity, solution focused and areas for improvement
- List the various ideas generation and decision-making techniques to solve problem and come up with creative solutions
- Use PDCA method to solve problems using real case situations at work
- Apply decision-making technique especially on dilemma decision-making through identifying of decision criteria, allocation of weight to criteria,development and selection of alternatives
